P1800-klubben deltar på träffen och har en särskild reserverad plats på Bil- klubbarnas område. Vägbeskrivning : Kommer man via Borås eller Ulricehamn på RV 40, kör ca.20 km till Dannike och följ sedan bruna skyltar “Tor- pa Stenhus”. Kommer man RV 27 finns brun skylt vid infart mot Länghem. Följ sedan bruna skyltar mot Torpa Stenhus och kör förbi Hovfsnäs. Torpa Stenhus blev riksbekant i samband med TV serien “Allt För Sverige” i höstas. Efter Torpa, ca kl.12.30-13.00 kör vi ca. 3 mil på små, men bra asfalterade vägar till K eep in mind that it is not possible to compare the comfort of a modern Volvo 850 with the sporti- ness of a PI800, whose prototypes were ready already in the late 50's. As you increase the speed, the wind noise also increases. In old tests from the early 1960s, you can read that the P1800 goes quietly also in higher country roads, that is 80 km / h! It still does it even if today's march cruises are significantly higher, provided the doors and win- dows are properly adjusted. Here's how I fixed the wind noise in my P1800. Make sure that the doors are properly aligned in both the length, height and sideways. To fix the adjustment, loosen the masonite / plastic cover on the side walls in front of the door. Wipe a little tape around a screwdriver and do not repair the paint so easily. Carefully break the chisel at the clamping brackets until the panel loosens. Unfortunately, the brackets are out of production, but it's great to use the equivalent to Amazon. All you need to do is make the Ama- zon lists a bit in the middle. Behind the attire you will find the adjusting screws for the door hinges. If the adjustments are not enough, you will be able to use the spacer. The door should be stuck to the body without stabbing, squeezing or jamming. At the same time the door slope should be the same around. You may need to adjust the door post lock. To do this, loo- sen the chair locking screws about 3/4 turn and then tighten them again when the lock is adjusted to the correct position. Try it now! RENOVATION TIPS AGAINST WIND NOISE Do you have problems with wind noise in your PI800? If so, you are not alone. It is possible to fix but because the car is designed in the late 50's and has heavy roof rails and lacks a window frame around the doors, it's a little bit easier to adjust the noise of a P1800 than a modern car. In the garage again! The wind noise has now been minimized, but you may not be very pleased at all times. Re-enter the garage and proceed as follows: Loosen the window wrap and the door side that is attached in the same way as the front panel. Now you will adjust the ventilation window frame. which goes through almost the en- tire door. Adjusting screws can be adjusted outwards / inwards and up- wards / downwards. It's a bit difficult to get inside the door and it's very easy to drop the adjusting screws. Avoid this, as it may be difficult in some places to get that type of screw th- read. It is not the usual millimeters thread. Possibly you can buy new sealing slings around the doors, they are still buying new ones. Also the moldings to the front and rear of the door roll may need to be replaced. The front list's part number is 668337- 9 for year models 61-68 and 688540-4 for year 69-73 (hard to find in Volvo's spare parts catalogs). The latter list can be used for all models. The rear fillet's part number is 664866- for all carts. Take your time Take good time at the adjustments, as the work is quite time- consuming.
